Troubleshooting
Case Files is missing or access is denied
Check that sky_base, sky_jobs_base and sky_dojjob are running, the DOJ tablet feature is enabled and the player's current job is configured. With the default settings, the player must be on duty.
Next check Case-file access in /jobconfig. An empty mapping version or missing technical grade binding intentionally prevents access. Administrator status or a high numeric grade does not replace this mapping.

A configuration edit has no effect
A saved Job Configurator override can take precedence over config/config.lua. Inspect the live /jobconfig value. Use /jobconfigimport sky_dojjob only when you intentionally want the local configuration imported; do not delete configuration or records tables to reset one setting.
Registries and Finance are enabled in fresh defaults. An existing server can retain a saved disabled override; inspect the live feature setting. Citizens and Vehicles do not depend on the registry toggle.
A license holder or certificate is missing
Check the configured License registers list, the selected Sky Base license provider and the Citizens roster. Only selected license types get their own register. An incomplete-provider notice means the register cannot enumerate every holder; a failed lookup must not be treated as an empty license list.
Certificates require a saved entry and a published assigned template. Check Document templates → Registry, the register's template key and the job_document item for printing. The current unmodified default certificate revisions publish automatically; custom layouts need explicit review and publication. See Registries.
A bank action is unavailable or pending
Check the action permission and the provider's supported Finance capabilities. Account statements and freezes are not implemented for every banking provider. For a pending financial operation, inspect both actual bank transactions before reconciliation; do not repeat the operation or clear journal rows.
No document templates are available
Open Document templates with an authorized template manager. Check the visibility filter and published state. Add default templates can install missing defaults or restore deleted ones. Review restored layouts before use.
For your own template, resolve field/placeholder validation, include the required signature lines, add a change reason and confirm review before publishing. Every defined field must be placed somewhere in the template.
A document still uses the old layout
This is expected for an existing document: it is bound to the template version used to create it. Publishing a new template does not rewrite older documents, signatures or prints. Create a new document from the reviewed current version when you need that layout.
Save or Sign is disabled
Complete required fields and resolve invalid selections or typed values. Save local changes before signing, sharing or printing. A recovery notice may need an explicit Restore or Discard decision.
If Sign is missing, check the matching pending signature line, the player's DOJ domain, case role and signing permission. Workspace Edit or an ordinary read share does not confer signing rights. A participant needs an invitation for that exact line and version. The same human player cannot sign another line of the same version using a different character.
Another employee edited the same document
version_conflict means your action used an older revision. Preserve your draft, load the current saved state and compare the changes before retrying. Do not use repeated save clicks as a merge strategy. The same principle applies to recipient edits and template publishing.
A shared document seems to be missing
In DOJ, first check the primary person's or vehicle's Shared documents → issuing department → category folder. The sidebar holds records without that primary assignment. A witness, staff member or vehicle owner mentioned in a secondary role does not receive every related document automatically.
Then confirm the correct recipient/job, current duty and access, the source resource and whether the share was revoked. An empty authorized result and a failed request are different states; retain the actual error message when reporting a problem.
The automatic Police records folder depends on the Police integration and valid import templates. A source identifier that no longer resolves, an unavailable source or a failed template import should be diagnosed at the source rather than creating duplicate placeholder folders.
Upload succeeds but the attachment is not in the case
Return to the tablet and save the attachment after uploading. The upload transfer alone does not create the case entry. Transfers expire after five minutes and local files must fit the 2 MiB limit and supported format checks.
If the upload page cannot open, check the externally reachable server address and forwarding of the resource's HTTP route. If an Office file is rejected, remove unsupported encrypted/macro content or provide a supported simpler file. Keep the original file for diagnosis.
Print was accepted but no item appeared
Accepted means queued. Visit the selected physical printer, open its output stack and take your completed copy. Check actual printer supply/jam states and available inventory capacity. The default DOJ job has no printer positions until one is configured.
A full inventory leaves an available copy for later collection. Do not print again merely to retry pickup. If a restart or inventory failure leaves an ambiguous collection, check the actual inventory and server log before manually altering copy state; otherwise you may issue a duplicate.
A printed item cannot be opened
Confirm it was issued by the printer workflow and still has its copy metadata. A generic /giveitem document is not a valid printed copy. Verify the configured inventory adapter, item definition and matching copy data. Handing over a valid copy is supported; it does not require the recipient to be a DOJ employee.
What to include in a support report
Provide the installed resource versions, framework and inventory, affected job and technical grade, duty state, exact steps, error message and relevant server log. State whether the issue occurred in a browser demonstration or on the FiveM server. For document issues, include the template code/version and document reference without publishing confidential case content.
