Troubleshooting

Check the cause of missing features, access errors and installation problems.

The command does not open

Check that sky_base, sky_jobs_base and sky_jobcreator started without an error and come from matching packages. Use /jobcreator or /jobscreator with an authorised administrator.

For custom groups, check both Creator command access and the Jobs Base jobconfig permission. See Commands & access.

Installation reports an error

Check the first server error, then compare your resource names, start order and worker permission with Installation.

If the message says migration failed, scroll up to the first SQL error from the same startup. The later startup warning alone does not identify the cause. Keep the SQL error, database version and installed Sky versions for support. Do not delete tables or repeatedly import SQL as a guess.

If you renamed your framework, follow the supplied install.md instructions for the framework alias.

A job was only partly created

Read the creation result and check the job list before trying again. Resolve the reported banking, framework or configuration error, then use the existing job's available activation/recovery action.

Do not recreate a job or company account that already exists.

An interaction or app is missing

Check these in order:

  1. The feature is enabled in the job's saved settings.
  2. The corresponding server-wide feature is enabled in Jobs Base.
  3. The character has the correct job, grade and permissions, and is on duty if required.
  4. The point has a saved position, or the tablet app is enabled for that rank.
  5. Required inventory, banking, clothing or target integrations are installed and configured.

For Business and Announcements, check their separate switches. For supply ordering, check both Online shop and the catalogue and collection points under Wholesale.

File changes do not appear

Saved in-game settings take priority over file defaults. Change the existing job through the editor. Editing a default in a file does not replace a saved setting.

Items, payments or printing fail

Check the exact inventory item key, inventory capacity, required metadata support and configured payment account. A display label is not an item key.

For company payments, confirm that the company account exists, is available through your banking integration and has sufficient funds. For printed documents, use the required item definitions and check the printer's position and permissions.

Contact support

Include the installed Job Creator, Jobs Base and Sky Base versions, framework and relevant integration. Describe the steps, expected result and actual result. Attach the first server error and the client F8 error from the same attempt, plus a screenshot when useful.

Remove credentials and personal identifiers before sharing logs.
