Troubleshooting

Resolve installation, inventory, shop, search, sound, air and saved-progress issues in Sky Treasure Hunt.

The resource will not start

Confirm sky_base, sky_jobs_base and OneSync are available. Sky Base must use oxmysql as its SQL provider. Read the first resource error in the server console: missing tools or sale items stop initialization and name the missing item.

Register the complete inventory catalogue, not just the equipment. For SQL errors, check the connection and schema privileges and compare with Database and updates.

The dealer is missing or will not open

Check Config.Enabled, Config.Shop.enabled, the location and NPC model. The configured dealer Z includes a one-metre spawn offset. Test on foot, alive, close to the dealer and in an allowed routing bucket. Close another active NUI or Treasure Hunt activity first.

If the target option is absent, verify your Sky target provider or use the proximity key. Check the player's saved FiveM key binding if the displayed key differs from the configured default.

Equipment cannot be bought or used

Confirm the exact tier's item ID exists in the inventory and the player has the required skill, funds and capacity. Higher-tier items are separate from their basic versions. A learned unlock does not grant equipment automatically.

For ox_inventory, use the supplied templates, preserve consume = 0 on equipment and do not add an unrelated client export. Treasure Hunt registers use actions itself. If items were added while Sky Base was running, refresh its item catalogue as explained in Inventory items.

The detector finds nothing

Start with suitable outdoor sand or grass. Avoid paved surfaces, steep ground, excluded areas and water. Confirm the detector is equipped and the routing bucket is allowed. Walk to a new area if spots are depleted.

After a successful recovery, the default next-search requirement is 12 seconds of active searching and 15 metres of movement. When digging, stay close to the actual find and use a shovel your character can equip.

The detector is silent

Check Config.Audio.enabled, the F9 mute state and GTA's SFX volume. Detector audio uses Config.Audio.volumeMultiplier; digging and find sounds use Config.DigAudio. These are separate settings. Re-equipping a detector enables its sound again after successful equip, but a zero game or configuration volume still remains silent.

A magnet cast or dive is rejected

Try a suitable shore or underwater location in the normal routing bucket. Magnet casts require valid water, enough cast distance and a reachable height; stay near the cast origin. Diving needs equipped gear, remaining air and valid underwater ground within the allowed depth.

For a custom water map, update config/water.lua to match it. Changing visual water alone does not update the server's validation boundaries. A used magnet area, shared depleted diving spot or another player's active claim can also make a location temporarily unavailable.

Scuba air did not refill when changing gear

This is expected. Air is stored per character and tier. Another item of the same tier, removing it or reconnecting does not produce a fresh tank. Refill through the dealer and check the remaining-air display before the next dive.

A bin is empty or has no interaction

Empty results are expected: the base reward chance is 20%. Completed searches temporarily empty the bin for everyone in the same routing bucket. For no interaction, check the model in Config.Trash.models, the enabled target/key settings, distance and whether another activity is active.

The inventory is full or a discovery is missing

Free capacity before searching. Magnet and bin rewards offer a short retry window for the same prepared result. Do not expect cancelling and retrying to roll another item.

The album records natural discoveries after successful reward delivery. An item bought elsewhere or transferred by another player does not unlock it. Selling a genuine discovery does not erase it. For missing saved progress after reconnect, inspect database errors and the character identifier used by the server.

An administrator command is denied

Check sky_treasurehunt.admin or your configured replacement ACE. If requireDuty is enabled, implement and verify ServerConfig.IsAdminOnDuty. Commands need an online target. Level reductions can require a detector skill reset first; neither command changes the other skill trees.

Information to include in a support request

Provide the resource version, framework and inventory provider, affected method, exact reproduction steps, relevant configuration changes, and the matching server/F8 errors. Include whether the issue occurs for a new character and whether it began after an update. Omit database passwords and other credentials.
