Heist Basics
What you are setting up
A heist gives a group of players a robbery to prepare and carry out. You decide where it happens, which tools they need, how they obtain them, and what they earn.
For example, a bank heist can ask players to collect a hacking device and gas masks before opening the vault and taking the cash.
You do not need to build your first heist from scratch. Start with the included Fleeca: The Legion Job and follow First Heist.
Creator and player planning
There are two different interfaces:
| Interface | Who uses it? | What is it for? |
|---|---|---|
Heist Creator, /heistcreator | You and authorized administrators | Create and edit the robbery, place objects, set preparations and rewards |
| Heist Planning, in the Crime tablet or at a planning board | Players in a configured Crime organization | Choose a robbery, organize their crew, prepare equipment, and start the heist |
Use Job Configurator (/jobconfig) for the organization, workshop, storage and shared heist settings. Use the Heist Creator for the robbery itself. Creating a heist does not create these organization facilities.
Set up at least one Crime organization before testing. Your administrator permission to open the Creator does not give your character an organization or a player crew. See First Setup and Permissions.
What players will do
- Choose a heist and create a plan, which is their group's attempt at that robbery.
- Add members of the same organization to the crew.
- Complete the listed preparations, such as collecting equipment or taking reconnaissance photos.
- Deposit the required equipment in the plan's storage.
- The leader starts the finale, and the crew collects its tools and carries out the robbery.
- Players collect the rewards and finish any escape or buyer handover you configured.
The default allows three open plans per organization, with one open plan for each different heist. Another group cannot start the same heist while it is already being carried out.
Your setup checklist
For each heist, check that:
- Its location matches the interiors and maps installed on your server.
- Every required item exists in your inventory system and players have a way to obtain it.
- Pickups and workshop points are reachable.
- The crew size, police requirement, difficulty, and reward suit your server.
- Players can complete the full route, from preparation to payout.
A completed preparation does not always mean the player has the physical tool. Check both the mission result and the player's inventory. The included Fleeca walkthrough explains the hacking-device example.
For your first test, keep the included settings and use one organization member. You have a working setup when that player can prepare the heist, deposit the equipment, start it and receive the loot payment. Then test with the full crew size you intend to allow.
When you edit a heist, test it with a new plan. Existing plans keep the settings they were created with.
