Installation
Requirements
Install current versions of sky_base and sky_jobs_base alongside sky_dojjob. Start the framework, SQL resource, inventory and configured interaction integrations before the Sky resources. Keep the resource name sky_dojjob unchanged.
Police Job is an optional integration, not a declared startup dependency. Its citizen, vehicle and police-record workflows require a working Police installation when you use those features.
Place the resource
Copy the deployable sky_dojjob folder into your server's resources directory. It contains fxmanifest.lua, config, source, stream and import.sql.
Set the start order

The filesystem permissions support shared configuration writes. Add them before the ensure lines and perform a full server restart after changing them. The shared installation guide covers the base setup.
Prepare the database
Config.AutoExecuteQuery is true in sky_dojjob/config/config.lua. Leave it enabled to let the resource create and upgrade its tables. If automatic queries are disabled, apply the included import.sql before using the resource.
Back up the database before an update. Preserve existing case, document, template, signature and print-copy data; reinstalling the SQL is not a way to reset an individual permission or repair a missing template.
Add inventory items
Check doj_document and doj_law_book in your inventory, including their metadata support and icons. If you want portable case material, also register the Jobs Base items sky_briefcase and sky_case_folder and copy their item images. Add the configured printer supplies if you enable paper or ink consumption. The package includes ready-to-merge ox_inventory entries; see Inventory items.
Prepare administrator access
Follow the shared permissions bootstrap. Confirm that your administrator account can open /jobconfig. Command authorization and ordinary DOJ employee permissions are separate.
If you use the shared boss-permission bootstrap, run /setboss doj <topGrade> with the real numeric top grade of your job. Replace doj if you configured a different job name. This does not replace the role mapping in the next step.
Configure DOJ access
Open /jobconfig, select Department of Justice Jobs and configure the job. Under Case-file access, give the mapping a version and assign the actual technical grade names to prosecution, judiciary or court administration.
The shipped mapping is intentionally empty. Case-file access remains unavailable until it is configured. Follow the complete Permissions guide before testing the tablet.
Configure the workplace
Place the courthouse and relevant interaction points through the Job Configurator. Add a physical printer to test printed documents; the default job's printer list is empty. Enable only the modules used by your server and configure any required external integrations.
First-start check
- The console reports no missing dependency or database migration error.
- The configured DOJ job and its grade names match your framework data.
- An on-duty member with a mapped role can open Case Files.
- An authorized template manager can open Document templates and create a test document.
- A second character can read a deliberately shared document, then loses source access when that share is revoked.
- A print reaches the configured printer, can be collected and opens from the inventory.
