Editable signs

Replace text and branding on the included venue signs by editing their YTD textures.

Authored text in the Activity Center, arenas, kart tracks, bowling, minigolf and sport-table signs uses external YTD textures. The included templates let you change these signs without rebuilding their 3D models.

Replace a sign

Find its texture

Open editable-textures/signage/catalogue.csv inside the installed resource. Find the existing text or object. The YTD column gives the path relative to sky_activities; the texture column gives the exact entry inside that dictionary.

Edit the image

Open the matching PNG template from editable-textures/signage/. Replace the text or add your logo. Keep the image dimensions and transparent background. Fit the design inside the existing sign area.

Export and replace

Export DDS using BC3/DXT5, alpha and mipmaps, matching the supplied DDS reference. Open the specified YTD with your YTD editor and replace the existing texture entry. Keep its exact name and preserve the dictionary's other textures.

Deploy and inspect

Upload the modified YTD to the same resource path, restart the resource and reconnect a test client. Inspect the sign at close and distant views, including its transparent edges and lighting.

Shared textures and updates

Editing PNG/DDS templates alone does not change the game: the replaced entry in the streamed YTD is what loads. YDR, YTYP and YMAP files do not need changes for new lettering.

An entry can be used by several objects. Check every use listed in the catalogue. If the text appears in more than one YTD, replace each dictionary you want to change. Preserve the complete texture name, including its suffix.

Changing a hole number or par label changes the image only; it does not change gameplay rules, lane assignments or hole order. Live scoreboards are rendered by the UI and are separate from these static signs.

Keep your edited source images and a record of changed entries outside the resource. Reapply them to updated YTDs after an update, preserving any newly supplied textures.
