Diving

Equip scuba gear, manage saved air, find underwater objects and recover shared diving rewards.

Buy a scuba set, equip it on land and enter suitable water. Nearby collectible props receive a light-grey outline. Approach a find and use the displayed recovery control while remaining close enough to complete the action.

Scuba equipment and air

SetBase priceBase air supply
Basic250600 seconds
Standard900900 seconds
Professional1,8001,200 seconds

The Basic set is available initially. Standard requires diving_orientation_2, and Professional requires diving_knowledge_2. See Inventory items for their item IDs.

A full refill costs 25 for Basic, 38 for Standard and 50 for Professional equipment.

Air skills reduce consumption. Remaining air is stored per character and gear tier, not as a fresh tank on each inventory copy. Removing gear, switching sets or reconnecting does not refill a used tier. Return to the dealer for a paid refill; the charge is proportional to the missing air, rounded up. General equipment discounts do not apply to refills.

The first dealer purchase of a tier includes air. Equipment received externally, without an existing air record for that character and tier, starts empty and needs a refill. Buying another copy of a previously used tier does not refill its stored supply.

Watch the air indicator and return to the surface before the supply runs out. The default clothing configuration supports the male and female freemode characters; adapt Config.Diving.clothing for other supported character models on your server.

Shared underwater finds

Default search depth is 2–60 metres, with suitable underwater ground required. Successfully collected finds remain depleted for 60 minutes. Finds are shared within the routing bucket: another player can reach and recover an available object first.

Changing equipment or cancelling recovery does not turn an already confirmed object into a different reward. Failed inventory delivery does not grant extra XP or duplicate discoveries.

Skills and reward tiers

The diving tree contains 16 skills costing 24 points. Paths improve air use, outline range, recovery time, identification and bonus finds. The starting find tier is 2; diving_knowledge_1, _2 and _3 open tiers 3, 4 and 5. Basic, Standard and Professional equipment cap those tiers at 2, 4 and 5.

There are 22 default diving finds, including sea glass, a fossil shark tooth, an amphora, an old sextant and the Queen's diamond necklace. They share the global album with the other methods.

The first necklace has saved discovery protection. After 150 successful diving recoveries with tier 5 available and no prior necklace discovery, the next newly confirmed suitable find is assigned the necklace. Already visible finds stay unchanged. The necklace remains a shared object, so another diver may recover it first.
