Searching bins
Bin searching needs no purchased equipment. Approach a supported bin, recycling container or dumpster while on foot and use the target interaction or the displayed search key. Put away other active Treasure Hunt equipment first.
Search results
The default search lasts 10 seconds. Stay within reach until it finishes; the cancel action or moving too far away interrupts it. The base chance of finding an item is 20%, increasing to 35% with the relevant sorting skills. An empty bin is a normal result.
A completed search empties that container for 10 minutes for everyone in the same routing bucket. The cooldown persists across restarts. If there is a reward but the inventory is full, a 30-second delivery window allows the same prepared result to be collected after making room.
Progression and finds
Both a completed empty search and a successfully delivered find award search XP and general XP once. Cancelling and repeated delivery attempts do not award extra progress.
The tree contains 9 skills costing 12 points. They reduce search time to as little as 7 seconds, increase success chance, enable extra finds and favour collectible rewards.
The 19 default finds include ordinary scrap and valuables such as a compact camera, collectible card, retro console, vinyl record, limited sneakers and the Holographic dragon collectible card. Items enter the shared album when actually discovered through a completed reward.
Configuration
Use config/trash.lua for enabled interactions, distances, timers, skills and the supported model list. Add your custom-map bin model names there. config/trash_server.lua contains reward weights and sale prices.
Config.Trash.target and Config.Trash.pressE enable the target and proximity-key interactions separately. The default keys are E to search and X to cancel; the displayed hint follows the player's binding.
