Special Equipment

Set up and operate the portable water monitor, helicopter bucket, divider and vehicle water transfer.

Complete Installation, including the inventory items and both hose weapons, before testing equipment. The steps below assume an allowed firefighter job and on-duty status. English labels and supplied default keys are shown; players can change bindings under Settings > Key Bindings > FiveM.

Portable water monitor

  1. Carry water_monitor and use it to place the monitor. /watermonitor is the alternative when its command is enabled.
  2. Prepare a supported fire vehicle with water in its tank or a connected external supply. With the enhanced panel, start the engine/pump, select a supply and open a free outlet as described in Fire and Hose System.
  3. At the vehicle, choose Take monitor supply hose. Walk the line to the placed monitor and choose Connect monitor supply hose.
  4. Choose Operate water monitor. Move the mouse to aim; mouse wheel or arrow keys make fine adjustments. Left mouse toggles water.
  5. Right mouse or Back leaves the controls. Water can keep flowing after you leave: operate it again and switch it off when finished.
  6. Disconnect the supply and use Remove water monitor to pack up. Item return follows your equipment settings.

“No free pump outlet” means the available outlets are already assigned. “Waiting for water” means the connected source is not delivering water; check the supply, pump, outlet and tank before replacing the monitor.

Helicopter bucket

  1. Carry fire_heli_bucket and place it using the item or /waterbucket when enabled.
  2. Use a helicopter listed in the bucket settings. The supplied examples are polmav and cargobob; another helicopter needs its model and attachment offset configured first.
  3. Enter as pilot, move close to the placed bucket and press E to attach it. Lift carefully so the rope can extend.
  4. Lower the bucket into water and wait for the water gauge to rise. Flying above water without immersing the bucket does not fill it.
  5. Fly over the incident and use X for the dump control shown on screen. Watch the water gauge and refill when empty.
  6. Lower the bucket close to the ground before pressing E to release it. The default release limit is two metres from the ground. Retrieve the placed equipment once the area is clear.

The helicopter must be allowed, the bucket must be nearby, and the player must satisfy job/duty and pilot requirements. A helicopter water gauge alone does not mean the bucket is full.

Three-way divider

This is optional and disabled in the supplied configuration (Config.Hose.dividing = false). Enable it under the Hose settings and register fire_dividing_breeching if you want to use it.

Place the divider using its item, take a divider supply line from the supported fire vehicle and connect it to the divider. Prepare the truck's water supply and pump outlet first. Choose Operate divider to open its valve view; turn valves with the circular mouse gesture shown there. Use 1–3 to take the corresponding branch hose. Open the supply and the branch valve for the hose you are using.

If a branch has no water, check the truck supply, its assigned outlet, the divider supply connection and that branch's valve. Return branch hoses and disconnect the supply before removing the divider.

Transfer water between fire vehicles

Use two supported fire vehicles with correctly configured transfer connectors. Stand by the donor vehicle and choose Vehicle water transfer, carry its line to the receiving vehicle, then choose Attach transfer line. Keep the vehicles within the configured hose length and check that the donor has water and the receiver has capacity.

Use Disconnect transfer to end an active connection, or Abort transfer while carrying an unfinished line. This transfers water; it does not refill foam or breathing-air cylinders. Custom vehicle models need their own tank and connector settings.
