Evidence and Forensics
Collect field evidence, test GSR, operate laboratories, and preserve evidence through police storage workflows.
Evidence lifecycle
Sky Police Job supports a complete evidence path from the scene to a case record:
- Officers collect supported evidence in the field.
- Metadata keeps evidence type, origin, identifiers, and collection context attached to the item.
- Evidence storage compartments preserve chain-of-custody workflows at configured stations.
- Laboratory interactions process supported samples.
- Results can be attached to reports, cases, citizens, and other MDT records.
Field tools
The resource includes configurable field evidence, GSR testing, fingerprint and DNA workflows, vehicle collection, mugshots, bodycam integration, and evidence scanners. Target distance, officer access, inventory items, and the current evidence state are checked by the server.
Evidence storage and laboratory
Evidence compartments use the shared Jobs Base storage infrastructure while retaining Police Job authorization and metadata. Stations can expose separate storage and laboratory points through the Job Configurator.
Operational checklist
- Use an inventory with metadata support.
- Verify every evidence item exists with the exact configured name.
- Restrict evidence storage and laboratory interactions to appropriate grades.
- Complete a full collect, store, process, and report workflow before launch.
- Confirm destroyed or transferred evidence cannot be collected a second time.
