Kart racing

Set up Classic and Battle races, kart choices, entry fees, starting grids and race rules.

Open Kart Racing at its Activity Center television or a configured track's interaction point. Players create or join a race, choose from the available kart options, become ready and start through the host's lobby.

Race modes

ModeGameplay
ClassicFollow the ordered checkpoints and complete the configured laps
BattleRace with track pickups and the configured Battle effects, including boost, shield and hazards

The supplied model is veto2; veto is also in the default allowed model list. Kart selection, color and tuning options depend on the operator settings. Only approved vehicle models can be used.

Track rules

Each track needs a starting slot for every allowed driver, ordered directional checkpoints, a finish and at least one reset position. Place grid slots in driving direction and leave room between vehicles. Activity editor explains placement and testing.

Rules cover laps, minimum/maximum players, countdown, reset penalties, race timeout and the time remaining for other drivers after the first finish. A driver who does not finish within the applicable limit receives a DNF. Checkpoints can be visually hidden during driving while their order still determines race progress.

Use the displayed reset and ability bindings. R is the default kart reset. A reset can carry a time penalty and has a cooldown.

Operator options

Global Karting settings control available models, tuning, spectators, entry fees and Battle effects. Where fees are enabled, configure the supported account and maximum amount. Keep kart payment records in database backups.

The optional results webhook belongs in config/karting_server.lua. It is server-only and disabled by default.

Race karts use damage protection and fuel management during the activity. The anticheat setup must permit their creation, handling, boost/slow effects and resets. Test the complete race and return to normal gameplay with your vehicle, fuel and damage scripts enabled.
