Overview

Set up Sky DJ-System with two-deck mixing, custom clubs, spatial speakers, synchronized lighting and portable boomboxes.

DJ System combines a two-deck DJ controller, shared playlists, spatial audio and placeable light and effect devices. Administrators can create their own clubs and position equipment with an in-game gizmo. The optional Vespucci Beach festival adds a fixed stage and a separate FOH light desk.

The resource is sky_dj. Its audio engine is included in the same resource. The current package requires ESX, OneSync, ox_lib and sky_base, with a working SQL provider configured in Sky Base.

Start here

Install the resource

Follow Installation for start order, database setup and the first MP3 library. Only the optional FFmpeg/Opus streaming setup has separate Windows and Linux steps.

Configure access and create a club

Open /djadmin with an authorized account. Check Configuration, then create a club and place its equipment.

Load music and check the sound

Add library tracks to a playlist, assign it to the club, load a deck and play. Check speaker direction, range and output routing before opening the venue to players.

Music delivery

Resource MP3 playback is the default: add your own MP3 files to the published library and restart the owning resource. Those files are part of FiveM's client download.

HTTPS Opus streaming is optional and disabled by default. An offline tool prepares the catalogue with FFmpeg. Your HTTPS server delivers tracks when the player loads or buffers them, rather than including that library in the connection download. Published MP3 copies must be removed from client files after backing them up to obtain that benefit. Browser buffering and caching still apply.

Both modes retain the club mixer and spatial audio. Club decks use your MP3 catalogue or its prepared Opus version; YouTube and Spotify are separate boombox features.

Optional festival

The fixed Vespucci Beach venue has a main stage, four crowd towers, a DJ position, a separate FOH desk and optional perimeter fences. You can enable or disable the festival independently of your own clubs.

Enabling the festival stage can increase client resmon time and GPU load, especially near the stage or with several effects active. The actual cost depends on client hardware, settings and the rest of your server. Measure your own setup; no fixed millisecond value is guaranteed.

Use the assets included in your customer download. Private owner-local arrays, tents and demonstration music are not supplied as part of the public package. No separate nightclub MLO is included; custom clubs use your chosen venue map.

Settings, clubs, device layouts and playlists are persisted in SQL. Keep backups when updating and follow the update checklist.
